Additionally, we are able to carry out class approved mooring chain measurements and photogrammetry surveys using our in-house designed tools and payloads
Seabed Surveys
We are able to carry out 2D and 3D seabed surveys using state of the art multi-beam sonars and scanners attached to the back of towed vessels or installed on our mini-ROVs
The scanning equipment maps out the seabed by using sound pulses that bounce off the sea floor and back to the unit, mapping any obstacles in its path e.g. rocks, steep hills, ship wrecks, debris, etc
Robotic Crawler Solutions
Our crawler inspections can be carried out above and below sea level. These are perfect when sea conditions are out of limits for other types of ROV’s as the crawler is held onto the surface by the use of magnets.
The unit can turn on its own axis, allowing it to get into difficult areas. Our crawler units can be used for:
● Cleaning marine growth
● General and close visual inspections
● Ultrasonic thickness readings
When cleaning is required on flat surfaces, crawlers are the preferred choice of ROV due to its ability to stay on location while cleaning.
Mooring Chain Cleaning
The conventional method of cleaning a mooring line can be costly, by means of dragging the line onboard an anchor handler vessel, cleaned, inspected, then lowered and re-tightened.
Our method does not require any other vessel or the slackening of the line. The mooring lines can be cleaned (up to 80 metres from vessel) by water jets, then inspections and chain measurements can be carried out
- Removal of marine growth
- Pressure washing
- Measurement of all critical dimensions
- General & close visual inspections
- Capable of inspecting chain inclination simultaneously for verifying mooring tension and load sharing between lines
Mooring Chain Measurements & Photogrammetry
Accredited by DNV, our partners can offer our clients mooring chain inspections and accurate thickness measurements.
The chains are thoroughly cleaned using power washers, then measured with the use of our innovative, class-approved measuring device.
All of this is captured on 4K high-definition cameras, which gives detailed images and footage. Mooring chain inspections and measurements are carried out by a 3-man team consisting of a pilot, inspector and tether handler

Offshore Flare Stacks & Tower Inspections
We can carry out close visual and thermal inspection of areas that typically pose HSE risks to operators e.g. flare tip, pilot ignition system, radiation shield, flare supporting structure, pipework, without shutting down critical processes or operations.
Bridges & Platform Underdeck Surveys
The UAV’s ability to point its camera upwards is very useful when inspecting assets such as bridges/walkways/platform decks. Flying underneath the target & inspecting for damages makes UAV inspections cost-effective compared to other traditional inspection methods.
Class-Approved Storage Tank & Confined Space Inspections (GVI, CVI, UT)
We are a leading provider of tank inspections utilising remote inspection technologies.
Combing the use of micro ROVs and robotic crawlers, we can offer a complete package for RVI and UT inspections of any internal or external tank
Utilising our robotic technologies to carry out inspections of storage tanks, giving clients the ability to:
Our eyeball class-approved UAVs are designed for inspecting the most inaccessible indoor locations and gives us the ability to conduct GVI, CVI & UT inspections in difficult and compromising inspection locations such as critical hot spots, confined spaces, tanks, risers, piping, etc.
As-Built Engineering Drawings
Gas Leaks
Our drones can be equipped with a gas sensor to detect methane gas leaks. The sensor emits lasers which are reflected back in specific ways upon hitting certain matter such as gases.
Analyzing the reflected beam enables the drone to pinpoint leaks. Generally, the sensors can identify the methane spectral signature based on the reflected light and thus determine the presence or absence of the gas.

Hot Bolting Flange Clamp (BoltEx) Solution
Our innovative Class-Approved hot bolting flange clamp (BoltEx) solution enables the hot swapping of flange bolts without the need to disrupt or shutdown production operations. The clamp provides flange integrity and acts as a ‘safety barrier’ during the bolt exchange, maintaining gasket compression to prevent loss of containment.
While the primary use of the BoltEx clamp is for hot bolting (bolt replacement on flanges under pressure), it can also be used for flange reinforcement, pending when the required maintenance is carried out. BoltEx ships in various sizes ranging from 0.5inch – 8inches and covers all conventional ASME/ANSI B16.5 flange types as well as certain API flanges. Key benefits of the BoltEx solution include;
- Gasket Protection System (GPS) eliminates the risk of over compressing or releasing the gasket sealing pressure.
- Rapid deployment
- Safe and Fast bolt replacement
- Aligned with ASME PCC-2 Hot-Bolting
- Reduces Shutdown scope and duration
- No need to Shutdown or depressurise
- Ideal for pre-Shutdown campaigns
Multi-Shell Repair Clamp (MSRC) Solution
Our MSRC leak repair clamp is designed to arrest leaks on the piping systems, enabling a quick and effective containment management solution. MSRC can be used as an emergency pipeline leak containment solution or installed on degraded piping systems to prevent the loss of containment on piping in critical condition. Key benefits of the MSRC solution include;
- Available in sizes ranging from 3” to 12” pipe diameter (NPS)
- Seals leaks at pressures of up to 58.5 barg (3” to 6” NPS) and 40 barg (8” to 12” NPS)
- Operating temperature range of -20 °C to +205 °C
- Rapid deployment
- Eliminates the need for plant shutdown
- Extends asset lifetime
HDPE internal re-lining services Solution
Blue Polygon Nigeria Limited is able to relines existing pipelines with a HDPE liner to extend the life of the pipeline at a fraction of the cost of replacing the existing pipeline.
Our solution is quick to install in continuous lengths (usually in excess of 1000m) into the host pipe above or below ground and uses a trenchless lining technology that enables an existing pipeline (in any material) to be lined with a HDPE liner to extend the life of the existing pipeline.
Standard HDPE is folded into a “C” shape and pulled through the existing pipeline, then air pressure is applied inside the HDPE liner in order to snap the tape and return the HDPE to its original shape with the correct tight fit inside the pipe.
The corrosion and wear resistant HDPE liner will significantly extend the life of the pipeline for applications in slurry, mining tailings, oil and gas, sewer and bulk water supply.
